About the site
About Sufi Traveler
Sufi Traveler is an independent contemplative website for readers interested in the inner path: duʿā, dhikr and wazifas practised with adab, and teachings drawn from classical Sufi literature. Despite the word “traveler” in the name, this is not a tourism, destination, or ziyārat planning site.
Who it is for
For Muslims and sincere seekers who want calm, sourced material on remembrance and character — and for readers who prefer checking a Qurʾan verse on quran.com or a hadith on sunnah.com rather than anonymous social posts.
Our approach
- Classic sources: prefer public-domain translations of recognised works, quoted exactly.
- Religious care: Qurʾanic duas include Arabic, transliteration, meaning, and exact references; hadith-based practices cite well-known collections.
- Mainstream ethics: sincerity, adab, tazkiyah, dhikr, and respectful love of the Prophet ﷺ — within law-abiding bounds.
- Independence: not affiliated with any Sufi order, government, or political movement.
What we avoid
Politics; content against Saudi law; shrine or grave veneration practices as content themes; sectarian polemics; miracle or healing guarantees; magic and amulets; medical or financial promises attached to wazifas; and invented “quotes” circulating online without a verifiable edition.
How to read with us
Prefer a few well-sourced pages over many unverified posts. When a Qurʾanic duʿā appears, open the surah:ayah link. When a book line appears, open the public-domain edition. If something touches personal religious rulings, ask a qualified local scholar — this site is educational and contemplative, not a fatwa service.
We write for a general Muslim audience interested in mainstream Sufi ethics as lived through remembrance and character. Ownership details are not invented here; the About page describes the site’s standards, not a personal biography. Thank you for reading with care, and for verifying sources before sharing.
Library & Ask
A larger public-domain Library is planned. An Ask page (reader questions by email) will open only when a contact address and form are ready — it is not linked in the main menu yet.
This page describes the site’s purpose and standards. It does not invent personal biography of the owner.
Relationship to other sites
Sufi Traveler stands alone as a path-and-practice site. It is not a city guide, newsroom, or property hub. Sister projects in the wider network (when published) keep their own accents and missions; this one stays parchment, indigo, and source-led.
